The Silent War is an installation designed to expose COINTELPRO,  an undercover operation by the FBI to disrupt, misdirect, discredit, or otherwise neutralize human rights group during the 1960s. The piece utilizes media collected from the Civil Rights Movement including photographs, illustrations, newspapers clippings, and declassified documents, helping visitors piece together the web of mysteries and lies created by American intelligence organizations.
